The digitalization of public administration today does not mean only the development of a new information system. A key role is also played by high-quality preparation, management, and professional supervision of implementation—especially in complex projects that work with sensitive data, high security requirements, and the involvement of multiple stakeholders. It is precisely here that the importance of technical supervision becomes evident as a tool that helps ensure the quality, security, and long-term sustainability of digital solutions.
The first solution represents a modern regional platform for digital services, which expands the principles of
a citizen portal with additional functionalities, including the area of grant agendas. The second pillar of the project is a specialized digital repository, designed tailor-made for the management and registration of collection items in compliance with national standards, with support for their digital form for museums and other heritage institutions.
During the project, technical supervision focused on continuous control of compliance of the implementation with the technical specification, architecture, and the requirements of eGovernment legislation. Our team regularly participated in project team meetings, provided expert consultations, evaluated documentation, and supervised the course of testing.
A significant challenge was particularly the area of cybersecurity, the high technical and functional complexity of the solution, and above-standard requirements placed on operational reliability and system integration. Part of the cooperation also included addressing comments and requirements of the Office of the Chief eGovernment Architect and preparation for penetration testing, which is a key step before the systems are put into production.
The result of the project is a successfully implemented pair of digital solutions that represent a significant shift in the digitalization of regional services. The new systems improve the availability of services for citizens and grant applicants and create a modern digital background for heritage organizations, museums, and the professional public.
The project also confirms that high-quality technical supervision is not merely a control function, but an active element that helps prevent risks, increase the quality of the resulting solution, and ensure its long-term sustainability.
