Finnish Innovations for Czech Decarbonization

At the end of November, together with Business Finland, we organized a workshop aimed at presenting the results of a detailed study on opportunities for cooperation in decarbonization activities in Czech cities and regions. The two-hour event was attended by more than 30 representatives of energy and technology companies from Finland.

The study focused on outlining current priorities in decarbonization, derived from strategic documents at both the national and local government levels. A key part of the study was identifying and describing specific opportunities that innovative Finnish companies can leverage to establish cooperation. It also included follow-up steps for Business Finland, as a national support organization, and for Finnish firms looking to expand into the Czech market.

The interest in the workshop and the implementation of this project reflect the improving image of the Czech Republic as a modern country offering attractive opportunities for foreign businesses. We consider the import of foreign expertise and competencies a key opportunity for further development of the domestic knowledge economy.
